The Scottish Government have announced that they will introduce new legislation which will allow gay marriage as early as 2015. The real question is whether we need government approval. Do we need a new law allowing for gay marriage?

The only reason that amendments to the law need to be made by the Scottish Government is because they have far too much involvement in the voluntary contract of marriage as it is.

Scottish Libertarians reject and utterly condemn ongoing attempts by the Home Office to further chip away at the civil liberties of British citizens, both in Scotland and the United Kingdom at large.
