Unfortunately I don’t have the divinely inspired powers of Moses to utilise the ten plagues of Egypt upon our modern day despots.

According to the “Boiling a Frog” theory, if you place a frog into hot water it will immediately jump out. If however you place the same unfortunate and unsuspecting amphibian into cold water, and gradually and incrementally increase the heat. The slimy, goggley- eyed fool will boil to death before it realises what’s occurring. In the early hours of Saturday morning  14th April 2018 the combined military might of the US, UK and France launched what amounts to an unprovoked attack on the sovereign nation state of Syria.  The pretext of the attack, to punish Bashar Al Assad and his regime for the alleged use of chemical weapons against his own civilian population.

Why then do I  say unprovoked? Because Assad posed no threat to the security, interests, overseas dominions, allies or peoples of the three countries involved.

A Call to Arms.

 

Our campaign to inject Libertarian principles into the Scottish body politic continues with our plan to field candidates for May 4th.

You may be aware that our membership secretary, Stephen McNamara, recently stood in the Kilmarnock East and Hurlford by election, achieving a new council election record  of 53 first votes and 305 seconds. These numbers are not as important as the fact that almost 3000 people were presented with a ballot paper featuring our party name and logo.

As many of you know Elections for the Scottish Parliament are to take place on 5th May 2016.
