Formation process framework is now available. In brief the formation process sets out basic rules of the party until the legal registration of the Scottish Libertarian Party. The formation consitution sets out the following.
- Officer roles and condition for membership.
- Condition of registration to vote in the upcoming nominations to elect the legal officers of the Party.
- Roles and responsibilities of the Party formation organisers.
- Sets out what will happen on the date of party registration.
In the next coming months, meetups will be held in major cities including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen to discuss the formation process. Individuals on the website, meetup(s), discussion forums, facebook will be invited to stand as an officer of the party or be invited to Vote in the upcoming party nominations.
The voting process will be organised by the party formation organisers, and may be done by mail, email or at an organised event. The elected officers will take legal responsibility for the party on the date of legal registration of the party, until then the Scottish Libertarians will be run temporarily by the party formation organisers.
Final policy decisions and party constitution will be decided by the elected legal officers of the party. If you wish to join or put you name forward as officer please click “join” at the top of this website.
