Over Forty Years of Libertarianism: a Personal Report

September 16, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Scottish Libertarian Students are hosting Professor Jeremy Shearmur who will give a talk about his personal experience with libertarianism over the past forty years.

Having taught at the University of Edinburgh, Manchester University, Australian National University, worked at the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University and been an academic researcher for Karl Popper for eight years he has a hefty record of academic achievement in the classroom and has also written several books on both Popper and F.A. Hayek.

The format will be as such: Jeremy will give a talk for about an hour, then he will take questions, then people will be free to mingle and talk to each other and Jeremy.

The location is the private function room of The Cuckoo’s Nest on Holms St, really close to the King’s Theatre, and while the official event starts at 5 people will be arriving between 4 and 5 so don’t feel you’ll be sitting alone if you want to come early. There is no attendance fee. All are welcome.

(Please note that this event is organised by and for the Scottish Libertarian Students so be respectful and mind the organisers.)
