Here are some of the benefits of membership of the Scottish Libertarian Party:

  • Help being part of the growing movement for individual freedom and liberty in Scotland
  • Be able to vote at our party’s meetings and play an integral part of shaping our party and message.
  • Stand in party elections, such as for the leadership position, local co-ordinator or member of the various committees
  • Have a say in our party policies
  • Volunteer and represent the party in your area, or be a spokesperson a certain issue.
  • Be able to stand in council elections, Scottish elections and UK elections with our support.

Unlike other parties we do not receive funding from unions, special interest groups, government grants or large corporations. The Scottish Libertarian Party fully depends on private donations and unpaid volunteers.

The membership fee is £1 per month.

I am not currently a member of any other political party, and understand that while a member of the SLP I may not join any other party.

Political activity in support of, or in association with, any political party or movement opposed to our principles may result in expulsion from the SLP.
